Improve Your Fitness With Colin Shields

Belfast Giants Colin Shields will be taking on a new venture this summer, starting his own Fitness and Personal Training business. ‘Total Performance Fitness’ will provide clients with customised programs specialising in functional training methods used by many professional athletes. Whether you are an athlete, looking for weight loss, or to improve your overall fitness levels, training methods learned over years of experience applied to modern principles will allow you to get the most out of your training. Each program will be tailored specifically to clients needs, every aspect of fitness, diet and lifestyle will be assessed and manipulated for the individuals goals. Colin has over 16 years of off ice training for ice hockey, with 8 years of coaching experience in North America and the UK. He has mentored under NHL guru TR Goodman in Los Angeles, who trained NHL stars such Chris Chelios, Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby. Colin used this experience to tutor Giants players such as Craig Peacock, David Phillips, Mark Garside and Matt Towe in the off season over the past 5 years. He is also currently head of off-ice strength and conditioning for the Junior Belfast Giants.
