Hepburn returns to the crease:

The Solway Sharks sponsored by Building Craftsmen Dumfries are pleased to announce the return of treble winning goaltender Calum Hepburn.

The Dumfries born 21 year old returns for his third season between the pipes after joining from the Paisley Pirates.

Calum is a product of the Solway Sharks junior development program before he moved to the USA to play at Worcester Academy and then returned to the U.K.

Since returning to the club he has helped the team win a treble and played a huge part in that and has become a popular figure amongst the supporters and will be looking to play another big part in the season ahead.

Head Coach Martin Grubb commented “Calum is a goalie who has won trophies with us and knows what it takes to win and we will be looking to get him back to his best as we look to challenge this season.

“He is a big goalie who is capable of making the big saves and we will work to make sure he finds his confidence and is giving us a chance to win every night.

“He will be working as part of the goaltending team and I know he will be looking to make that starting spot his own again and look forward to Calum coming back again.

Calum said “ I’m really looking forward to getting the ice season kick started this year and pushing for some silverware after last years disappointing end.

“ After talking with Martin I feel we’re pushing forward in the right direction to get back to our winning ways.

“Solway is home to me with a great bunch of guys and great coaching staff behind us so the choice for me was easy.”

Calum Hepburn’s #30 jersey is available on the owned and loaned scheme, priced at just £100 per shirt. If you are interested in this or any sponsorship options then contact rab.murray@solwaysharksihc.co.uk.
