Hawks V Widnes Wild – Matchday Information
This evening we will be welcoming the Widnes Wild at Planet Ice Blackburn in the NIHL North Cup and Hawks are hoping for goals a plenty like the previous result at Widnes just 2 weeks ago.
Wild’s M.J.Clancy, Mikey Gilbert, Dan Bracegirdle, Tom Ratcliffe and Chris Gee are all unable to play through injury, while Czech import Michal Novak will be missing for personal reasons.
Blackburn are regrouping after the retirement of club legend and lionhearted D-man Ollie Lomax. We hope you will all join us for a pre match celebration of Ollie’s 17 seasons with the Hawks and give him the rapturous applause he truly deserves.

Entry for the Game
This season your Blackburn Hawks will be providing a fast track entry lane for all season ticket holders and pre-paid ticket holders from doors open for approximately 15 minutes. This will be on the shop side of the entrance area and will be stewarded.
We hope this assists fans who have purchased tickets in advance a more convenient and faster way of entry into the arena.
Bar and Café Areas
The rink bars will be open all evening long.
The rink café, hot dog stand and Tea bar will be open serving hot and cold food and beverages.
There will be a chance to win an Ollie Lomax game worn jersey an a raffle which takes place tonight. Tickets cost £1 per strip and will be available from Brenda Walsh who will be located near the merchandise table.
Our regular draw will once again be back, with one lucky winner each week taking home a huge cash prize. Tickets cost just £1 and are available from our roving sellers. They will be easily identified in their match night uniforms so keep your eye out for them.
Shirt Off the Player’s Back
For just £2 a ticket you could win Aaron Davies’ game worn jersey, with the bonus that Aaron will present the jersey to the winner after the game on the ice. Tickets will be available from the roving seller.
Get your pucks next to the hot dog stand, head to the DJ stand after the second period and aim for the centre of the rink to win yourself a great prize!
