HAWKS & Stanley agree new partnership

Blackburn HAWKS are pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Accrington Stanley FC for the 2013/14 season.

The agreement will see the organisations working closely together on a number of initiatives to boost the profile of both teams in their communities and across East Lancashire.

Discussions have been ongoing following initial conversations between team officials in the run-up to last year’s Playoff Final.

Rob Hayes – Managing director of Accrington Stanley – first contacted the HAWKS last season, wishing the team the very best of luck in their quest to bring home the first silverware in 23 years.

“Accrington Stanley are delighted to be working with Blackburn Hawks and will be looking closely at initiatives we can collaborate on in the future.” he said.

“We were thrilled to see them lift the trophy last season and hopefully both clubs can have success in the campaign to come.”

Further discussions are due to take place in the coming weeks and more details will be released with what will be an exciting time for both clubs.

Blackburn Hawks’ Alan Amos said:

“The Hawks are delighted to be working with Accrington Stanley for the upcoming season. We are two very like-minded organisations, with strong community links and this partnership is a fantastic opportunity for both clubs.

“Last year was our most successful season to date; winning our first silverware in our 23 year history. This announcement is a statement of intent to go bigger and better in 2013/14.

“We look forward to welcoming some of the Stanley faithful to the Arena in September and everyone at Blackburn Hawks wish the Reds all the best for what is sure to be an exciting season.”

The Blackburn HAWKS continue to speak to a number of potential new partners in preparation for the new season.
