Harvey Stead & Vanya Antonov sign full time Bees contracts
The Bracknell Bees are happy to announce that both Ivan (Vanya) Antonov and Harvey Stead have been offered full time contracts with the Bracknell Bees and have both accepted the opportunity.
Both players have been on two-way contracts with the Bracknell Ice Hockey Club (Juniors) and the Bracknell Bees already this season but this move means that they will be added to the permanent squad of the Bees with immediate effect and will train and play only with the Bees for the rest of this season. They are both fine examples of the development through the Bracknell Ice Hockey Club having both started with the club before their eighth birthday.
Harvey is a smart, well-disciplined defenceman who has made his way through the ranks at the Bracknell Ice Hockey Club from the very youngest of levels and has been recently selected to represent Great Britain at U18’s level later this season at the World Championship (Division 2A) in Dumfries, Scotland.
Ivan (also known as Vanya), a speedy and skilled forward, is another who has been within the Bracknell Ice Hockey Club ranks from the very youngest of levels and has also been selected to the Great Britain U18’s along with Harvey Stead having already represented Great Britain earlier this season but at the U20 level.
Head Coach Lukas Smital said on the signings:
“We are pleased to offer a contract to these young players as they have really impressed with their transformation into EPIHL level . They are both very coachable players with bright future ahead of them!”
