Halton Haven Hospice – Wild Charity for 2018/19 Season
Halton Haven Hospice has been announced as Widnes Wild’s Charity of the Year 2018/19. The hospice provides specialist palliative care to adults affected by life limiting illness in Halton and surrounding areas. The Hospice also supports patient’s families and friends.
Hospice care is free to the patient and provided by a highly skilled team of professionals. Halton Haven Hospice receives less than half of its funding from the NHS and relies upon donations and support from the local community to provide the financial stability to ensure its services. As Charity of the Year, Halton Haven Hospice will be given be given a high profile within the Wild’s public relations as well as being supported by the fans and players through donations of both time and money.
Chris Andrews, Senior Fundraising Manager for Halton Haven Hospice said “we are thrilled to have been selected as the Charity of the Year for the Widnes Wild. We recognise the immense value that such a partnership brings to Halton Haven Hospice. The affiliation enables us to raise our profile and gives us an opportunity to engage in raising awareness of the Hospice throughout the area”.
