DSC_7183-2Streatham Redskins are delighted to announce the return of imposing defenceman Casimir Madren-Britton to the line-up for 2013/14.

The 6’ 5” blueliner will enter his seventh season wearing a Redskins jersey which is a remarkable statistic given that he is still only 21 years old.

Caz brings size and composure to the Streatham defence with his stickhandling and penalty killing expertise both stand out qualities.

A season hampered by injury in 2012/13 saw Caz miss a large chunk of the middle of the campaign but by the closing stages he was back in form and on the special teams, a place he will be looking to cement again this year.

Capable of dropping the gloves when needed, Caz is Streatham born and bred however he did spend part of his junior playing days in Guildford, before coming back to his roots.

With over 160 appearances so far in a Redskins jersey, Caz brings passion and local pride to the team and even at his young age, he is a key player on the roster.

His personal best season so far was 2010/11 where he stayed injury free and appeared 40 times notching double figures in the assists table thanks to some fine performances.

422092_3299174484557_20843244_nHighly rated by former Redskins coach Barry Spours and others around the league, Caz received a number of offers for his services following that campaign however showed his loyalty to Streatham.

“Caz has spent the summer looking out of his window watching the new rink being built” said Head Coach Warren Rost.

“He’s home grown, lives local and a future league all-star.  He’s big but mobile; he can shoot and move the puck intelligently so for us it’s just about working together to make sure he keeps developing”

Casimir Madren Britton will continue to wear the number 16 jersey again this season and you can have your name on it, then keep it at the end of the season thanks to our own and loan scheme.
