Giants Secure 2018/19 Continental Cup Place

The Stena Line Belfast Giants have ended the season by securing a place in the 2018/19 Continental Cup.

The Giants spot in the International Ice-Hockey Federation’s European competition was confirmed by the Cardiff Devils winning the PredictorBet Playoffs.

With the Devils winning both league and playoffs, the Continental Cup qualification was awarded to the Challenge Cup winners – the Giants.

The Giants have participated in the Continental Cup on three previous occasions. First back in 2002/03 when they hosted & won the 3rd round of the tournament to advance onto the Super Final in Milan, Italy and Lugano, Switzerland. Next in the 2012/13 2nd round in Landshut, Germany and 2014/15 2nd round in Bremerhaven, Germany when they advance to the 3rd round in Angers, France.
