Garside Pleased With Giants Season So Far

Stena Line Belfast Giants forward Mark Garside is playing his fourth season in Giants colours following his move from the Edinburgh Capitals in the Summer of 2010. This Saturday sees Garside re-visit his old stomping ground and go toe-to-toe with some familiar faces in the Capitals lineup when both teams clash in a game that counts towards both the Elite League and Challenge Cup. Following Edinburgh’s win over last season’s champions, the Nottingham Panthers on Sunday, Garside does not expect that he and his teammates will take the Capitals lightly when they step onto the ice on Saturday:

“Learning from Nottingham last weekend, we cannot take them lightly. With an experienced team we will not have a problem with overconfidence. We do have a lot of older/experienced players which helps players not panic about certain situations. We’re top of the league right now, everything’s going well and so there’s nothing to complain about.”
