Fwd: Flames drop home game to Manchester Storm
Manchester Storm scored a late powerplay goal then added another even strength marker to break up a 1-1 tie and steal a 3-1 win over the Flames on Spectrum ice.
Tyson Fawcett in the 9th minute had the visitors in a lead that they were able to hold through the opening frame.
Kruise Reddick replied at 27:18 to knot the evening at a goal each and that score remained on the clock at the close of 40 minutes.
At 48:52 on the powerplay Jared Aulin counted what turned out to be the winner before Kyle Hope put it away just inside the final half of the 3rd to secure their win.
“When you only have 1 game, it us exceptionally disappointing to come out of the weekend empty handed,” admitted Paul Dixon.
“It is frustrating when you outshoot a team and get enough chances to get more than one goal to only end up with a single. Obviously you are not going to win a lot of games when you don’t get more than that.”
“We will have to put it behind us and get into training with a good mindset for the upcoming weekend. At the end of the day it is only one game and we have a lot more to come so time to move on.”
