Forward Mark McCutcheon Signs For Belfast Giants

The Stena Line Belfast Giants are pleased to announce the signing of American forward, Mark McCutcheon for their 15th Season. The 30 year old, from Ithacha, New York has played 145 games in the AHL and has spent the past four seasons in Europe including a season in the DEL & two years with HC Bolzano of Italy where McCutcheon won both the Italian Supercup and the Italian National Championship.

The 6’1” McCutcheon, selected by the Colorado Avalanche in Round 5 of the 2003 NHL Draft, will add speed and grit to the Giants offence and will wear the #21 jersey. Last season Mark, son of former NHL Head Coach Brian McCutcheon, played with Valerenga of Norway and Danish side Aalborg.

The Stena Line Belfast Giants open their 15th Season on Saturday 30th August at home to the Cardiff Devils. The game, at the Odyssey Arena, will face-off at 7pm and will give fans a first look at the 2014/15 team.
