Fitzgerald- This team is up for the battle

Glasgow Clan head coach Zack Fitzgerald is looking forward to Wednesday’s EIHL clash at Braehead Arena against the Nottingham Panthers.
Nottingham come to Glasgow as one of the EIHL’s form teams, with 23 points in their last 15 games. Following weekend wins against Fife and Belfast, the Panthers are now only four points off top spot.
Fitzgerald today acknowledged that it will be a very difficult game but an opportunity for the Clan to get back to winning ways and another two points.
“We have played well against the Panthers in our previous meetings this season” confirmed the American. “In their building we have won 2 out of 3 and taken 5 out of 8 points so far – we’re looking to continue that good form on Wednesday.
“At the moment we’re in a dog fight for a playoff place, we’re still determined to finish as high up the table as possible with everyone fully focused on the 12 remaining EIHL games.
“We have experienced a lot of peaks and valleys this season, which has been frustrating. When we play to our standards, we compete against anyone in this league.
“Right now we urgently need to find some consistency, play like there is no tomorrow and battle for every single point that is available to us.
“We will leave everything that we have on the ice, this team is up for the battle and we are hungry to finish the season on a high!”
