Fitzgerald can’t wait for this Friday night!

Glasgow Clan captain Zack Fitzgerald can’t wait to return to Braehead Arena after six weeks on the road and to play in front of the Purple Army.
The Clan make their Homecoming this Friday (7:30pm face-off) when the Fife Flyers visit Glasgow for the first time this season.
Fitzgerald, who re-joined the Clan this summer after three season’s with Sheffield, believes returning to home ice has come at just the right time.
“It has been a tough few weeks on the road for the guys, we’re training away from Braehead, we’re constantly on the road and it does take it’s toll” said the American.
“All the guys are extremely excited to be returning to home ice on Friday and especially against the Fife Flyers.
“We all know how important this game is to the club and it’s fans, so we’re really looking forward to the big night and hopefully coming away with the win.
“I remember the Fife games from the first time I was here and they certainly were fun to play in, I personally can’t wait to get out there.
“The atmosphere in these derby games is electric and probably the best in the whole EIHL. The Purple Army certainly know how to bring the noise!”
