Fin Returns for Tigers

Telford Tigers are pleased to announce the return of Fin Howells for the 2021/22 season. Howells will wear the number 46 shirt and is a product of the Tigers’ junior set up. Howells showed he was ready for the step up to senior level by scoring 11 goals for the team during the 2019/20 double winning campaign.

Fin stated, “I’m pleased to be signing for the next season for Telford Tigers and be to part of this fantastic club. This is my home town club and it is always a privilege to wear the jersey. I am always learning and trying to improve my game and this is the perfect opportunity for me to do that, I can’ wait until the season starts.”

Tom Watkins, Head Coach and General Manager, said, “I know Fin very well, having coached him from his first steps into the game at under 11s when he first started playing and have continued to be part of his development all the way through his junior career. I’m really pleased to have watched him develop from that junior player to a senior Tiger. Fin will get a bigger role with the team this season. He’s still very young and he still has lot of developing physically to do. This is a big step for him and one that will take time to make that adjustment. He is a skilled kid, very talented on the puck, has good hockey sense and capable of making things happen but we will be looking to improve his play away from the puck and decision making. With a full summer’s conditioning ahead, I expect him to come back stronger and capable to withstand the physical demands of hockey at this level.”
