New for 2013 will be the Western Canada Cup. A trophy that will bring together the best 4 teams from the junior A leagues of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan  and Manitoba will join host club Nanaimo Clippers for the end of season playoff tournament. The event will take place at the Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo on April 26th to May 5th.

Neil has written on ice hockey for many websites concentrating on British ice hockey mostly. Neil also covers ice hockey in other countries and organises his Blueliner Hockey Tour.
