Dragons Set Sights On League Title

“I want to win the league” – Filip Supa has announced his arrival at The Dragons with a bold new target for the Laildler Conference season.
The high-scoring Slovakian moved to Chester Road from local rivals Widnes Wild last week, following the club’s takeover by new owners Red Hockey.
He will slot into a squad that also features top scorer James Parsons, as Head Coach Lol Paul looks to build a side capable of challenging for honours.
And for Supa, that means a winning start to life on Deeside.
He said: “It was a very easy decision to join The Dragons. Everyone here has made me feel very welcome, and with Red Hockey on board, things are moving very fast.
“I want to win the league with Deeside next season. This is a big club, and another target is promotion to the next level. It won’t be easy, but we will have a great squad.”
The other half of that feared striking line-up will be long-standing Dragons forward James Parsons, who returns to Flintshire for a tenth senior season.
The Welshman collected 53 points in just 34 games last term, and is looking forward to a new era for the club.
He said: “A lot of the guys here are really good friends, and with Red Hockey coming in, there are going to be some great challenges.
“We know that there will be players coming into the side, but that will be good for all of us. Comparing yourself to other players can only make your own game better.
“There’s going to be competition for places, but again, I am looking forward to that. Every season, you want to go one better than the last.
“The fans need to get ready for a great year. It is something for them to really look forward to.”
