Double deal joy for Tigers ticket holders

The Tigers will offer free admission to NIHL games for all EPL ticket holders during the upcoming Moralee Conference campaign.

A remarkable season for the NIHL side last year saw them win promotion at the first attempt, as they finished second to runaway leaders Solihull Barons.

But with Whitley Warriors, Blackburn Hawks and Solway Sharks all part of the line-up at the higher level, club bosses want to ensure a healthy turnout at games.

All Tigers EPL season ticket holders will get free admission to NIHL games, as will fans with a single ticket stub from a previous EPL game.

Paul Baker, Director of Red Hockey, said: “The Tigers are one club, whether that’s at NIHL or EPL level. We want to give our younger guys the chance to play in front of a noisy crowd, and to taste the atmosphere of a big occasion.

“Teams in the Moralee Conference are full of experienced players, so this is also about giving The Tigers NIHL as big an advantage as possible. We have some great players in the squad, so we are confident they can do well next season.

“Our supporters are famous for getting behind their team, so it is crucial they do the same for the NIHL side. We all have a role to play at this club, including the fans. That is why we are offering free admission to ticket holders from EPL games.”

Mike Washburn, General Manager of The Tigers NIHL believes the extra support will make a massive difference to his side next season.

He said: “This is fantastic news for all Tigers supporters. Basically if you have a season ticket or can produce a ticket stub from the previous Tigers EPL game, you get in to the NIHL home game completely free.

“So, if you don’t travel to Tigers EPL away games then you can still come and get your weekly ice hockey fix at the rink.

“This is really important to us in the NIHL set up, as we will be playing a number of teams who have a fairly substantial group of travelling supporters motivated to follow them wherever they go.

“We need local Telford support to give us that extra lift – so whatever happens it makes sense to get total value out of the ticket spend and come and watch. You won’t be disappointed, I can assure you!”

Season tickets for The Tigers next season, to also include free admission to NIHL games, will cost £425 for VIP access, £290 for standard adult access and £645 for family. Child and OAPs will cost £135.
