Deeside Dragons Club Statement

 

The Deeside Dragons would firstly like to thank our fans for their many messages of support regarding the recent promotion/relegation play-off.  We would like to apologise for any delay in responding to the enquiries but we would like assure all of our followers that the Deeside Dragons administration team are fully aware of the NIHL rules of competition as documented below. We are currently declining to comment any further until the EIHA LMC have responded to our enquiry.

 

The club have every faith that the EIHA will reach a prompt and correct conclusion in this Matter.

ENGLISH ICE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION RULES OF COMPETITION

10.5.10  If a club has a NIHL 1 team & aNIHL 2 team under 21 players are eligible to play in both teams and freely able to move between both, but are required to fulfill the below requirement for qualification to play in playoff games.

10.5.12  All players must have played a minimum of 25% of their teams league games to qualify for play-offs.

10.7  There will be no dispensation for players not meeting this qualification other than where a team can provide medical evidence that a player missed games solely due to injury. But 10.5.12 still applies to qualification for play-offs

10.8 The only exception to this rule will be in respect of netminders; the team may use any properly registered netminder (having attained their 16th birthday) involved with their own Club (no players or netminders will be drafted into the team after the registration

deadline). Permission must be obtained from the relevant regional LMC
