Czech forward Kamil Kinkor signs up

Born in Pisek in the Czech Republic, Kinkor learnt his game in the excellent Czech League before his move to Serbia and then to the UK. Kamil was prolific in his time with Streatham notching 28 goals and 31 assists in 34 matches.

Kamil has fully recovered after breaking his leg in November 2016 while playing for Bracknell, is desperate to get back on the ice, and can’t wait to get started with the Stars.

Kamil said “After my injury last year I never thought I’d play hockey again, then Kenny [Redmond] called me up, asked how I was doing, and whether I was ready to play. I told him I came to the UK to play hockey so I’m always ready. Playing for Oxford with the fans behind the team will be special, I’m really looking forward for this season and can’t wait to start putting some pucks in the net!”

Stars Head Coach Kenny Redmond was excited to unveil his import for this season: “It’s great to see Kamil bounce back from last year’s injury. He’s worked so hard over the summer and even returned to the Czech Republic for some intense training. He will be a top player in our league and is determined to prove he’s back to his best”.

Oxford City Stars fans will get their first chance to see their new Czech forward at the clubs Season Launch Event on August 27th.
