Connolly opts to depart Clan

Glasgow Clan have confirmed that forward Brendan Connolly will not be returning for the 2019/20 season.

 
The Canadian forward has opted to pursue a new opportunity away from Braehead Arena.
 
Connolly who joined the Clan from the Belfast Giants last summer, scored 33 goals and assisted on 42 during his 68 games with the club.
 
Clan Head Coach Zack Fitzgerald commented: “Brendan was someone we really wanted back for 2019/20.
 
“We had offered him a new contract, however he has informed us today that he has decided to pursue a new opportunity away from the Clan.
 
“We’d like to wish Brendan and his wife Alicia all the very best for the future.
 
“We are working on a number of exciting signings right now, so we’ll let the Clan fans know as soon as we have everything signed and sealed with paperwork etc.”
