Community Update

Saturday will see our second community game of the season where families from the local area will descend on the rink, many experiencing our sport for the very first time.

Project manager Chris Riley and a number of Hawks players have been visiting schools and community groups throughout November and December to spread the word and entice people to the Nest.

Ollie Lomax, Aaron Davies, Danny Nomanovas, James Neil, Craig Lutkevitch and equipment manager Nick Riley have accompanied Chris on the visits. Volunteer Esther Gradwell also organised a trip to St Catherine’s Hospice Christmas Fayre, which was a resounding success.

We are delighted to announce that we have sold over 600 community tickets for the game against Billingham. In two games the project has sold over 1100 tickets, an amazing result.

As last time against Solihull, our guests will be encouraged to sit in blocks 2 and 3, hopefully creating a superb atmosphere once again.

If you normally sit in this block, please be aware that it is going to be extremely busy.

All at Blackburn Hawks hope our guests from the following  schools have an awesome evening with us:

Sacred Heart Accrington

Trinity Primary Chorley

Feniscowles Primary Blackburn

St Pauls Primary Blackburn

St Mary and St Joseph’s Primary Blackburn

Lower Darwen Primary
