Community Project Update
A couple of weeks ago Full 9 Yards Sponsored Blackburn Hawks embarked on a new community initiative to encourage more people to match nights.
Project Manager Chris Riley identified young people as the key to the club’s future.
“We have a fantastic product at the Arena and we want people in the area to experience it. Our off ice experience has improved dramatically this season in terms of entertainment and fan involvement and regular fans have commented on this.
This is only the tip of the iceberg and the public need to know what is on offer on their doorstep.”
As part of the project Chris has been visiting Primary Schools and community organisations such as Blackburn College and Blackburn Youth Zone, taking some of the Hawks playing squad and Harry the Hawk, offering an insight into the sport and also to offer some really affordable deals on tickets.
“We have some really exciting things in the pipeline and we hope to safeguard the future of Blackburn Hawks for years to come.” Chris commented.
