It is with regret that Oxford City Stars have been unable to fulfill its obligation to its fans for a free to enter pre-season friendly.

Oxford City Stars management had been in dialogue with many clubs outside of NIHL South to visit Oxpens Road for the fixture, unfortunately many teams requested financial support to travel on our desired dates, in addition this pre-season, there are a number of charity matches being played which we as a club wanted to fully support.

We will be sharing information on Stars players icing in these charity matches across Social Media so our fans have the chance to see players in action.

Oxford City Stars board would also like to keep its promise to its fans for the free ticketed match, with plans already underway for a game in the future to celebrate 32 years of Ice Hockey in Oxford.

As soon as the club can confirm dates for this fixture, we will do so.

Coach Simon Anderson is also not concerned at the pre-season match not being a part of his plans in the run up to our 1st face off vs Wightlink on September 11th.
