Clan boost as Stanisz returns against Fife

Glasgow Clan have received a big boost ahead of this Friday’s homecoming game against the Fife Flyers with news that defenceman Matt Stanisz returns to the line-up.

The Canadian defenceman has been out of action for four weeks, after picking up an upper body injury against the Dundee Stars back in early September.

Stanisz has returned to training this week and has now been given the green light from the club’s medical team to return to action.

“It’s a massive boost heading into such a difficult weekend for the club” confirmed Clan head coach Pete Russell.

“We’ve been without Matt for four weeks now and playing with five defenceman certainly takes it’s toll, as guys get fatigued quicker than they normally would.

“Matt is one of the best defencemen in the league, so having him return for Homecoming is like having a new signing – it’s come just at the right time!”
