Dundee Stars Get New Coach, GM

Jeff Mason was a difference-maker as an assistant coach, alongside head coach Adam Keefe. They built a relationship and got the Belfast giants in a place where they could be successful year after year and chase championships.

FLAMES FINISH 3RD IN PLAYOFFS WITH WIN OVER DUNDEE STARS

In the playoff 3rd-4th place game Sunday afternoon, Flames lost the handle on a 2-goal 3rd period lead to fall into deficit, but replied with 3, including a late empty netter, in the final 6 minutes to secure a 7-5 win over Dundee Stars to close out the season for the respective sides.

The Manchester Storm have had a few rough seasons. From not making the playoffs to uninspired play the team will be once again unable to compete in the playoffs for the third year in a row. So what changes have to be made?

FLAMES SCORE LATE TO CLINCH A BERTH IN FINAL 4 WEEKEND

Flames led for less than 3 minutes across the entire 2 leg playoff quarter final, including the leg 1 4-4 draw, but it was the only lead they would need, coming from behind in the 3rd period of leg 2 for a 3-2 win, 7-6 on aggregate, over Nottingham Panthers to book a spot in the playoff final 4 next weekend. 

FLAMES WIN GIVES TOP HALF TABLE FINISH 

A 3-goal burst in the opening 7 minutes set Flames to a lead they would not let go the rest of the way during a 4-2 win over Manchester Storm to secure 5th place in the league table and set up a Playoff quarter final encounter next weekend against Nottingham Panthers.

FLAMES TAKE 4 POINT WEEKEND WITH WIN AT NOTTINGHAM

A pair of goals in each of the 1st and 2nd periods helped Flames to a 4-0 lead that was eventually trimmed to a single before a late empty netter closed out a 5-3 win at Nottingham Panthers that counts Liam Hughes’ first win in Flames colours.
