Cardiff v Bristol Game cancelled (10th April)

Unknown

The game between Cardiff Fire and Bristol Pitbulls on the 10th April has been cancelled. Bristol have qualified for the cup finals weekend in Haringey. The cup finals weekend date had been moved causing a clash with the league game in Ice Arena Wales.

Mark Cuddihy continued “We are really disappointed to lose a home fixture. We understand that the game needed to be moved and we were struggling to find an alternative date. However, Bristol were due to be playing on the 2nd of April at home (Oxford Ice rink) but with Oxford qualifying for the playoffs they took the date of the 2nd moving Bristols home game to the 3rd. As we had free ice we offered this date to Bristol, but for some reason it was unsuitable, so the game will not be played as we are now in the final few weeks of the season. We apologise to anyone wishing to attend this fixture”

The EIHA have awarded a draw and a point each to both clubs and the game will go unplayed. Fire’s last league game will take place this Sat 9th April against Wightlink Tigers face off 18:30
