A run of 15 wins in the second half of the campaign has seen Telford become firmly entrenched in the EPL’s mid table positions.

But even after the midweek win over Peterborough Phantoms, McKenzie is aware that his side can’t rest on their laurels.

And he wants the ‘Tigers Kop’ to play its part – especially during Sunday’s game with league leaders Manchester Phoenix.

He said: “Even if we lose a goal early on, we need to fans to stay behind us and be a sixth man on the ice.

“They give us a massive boost, as it can be hard when the other side gets ahead at the start. That’s happened a few times in recent weeks, and we’ve been able to make a come back.

“As a squad, we want the fans to bring along friends and family in the next few weeks. We need to pack out the rink, stay focussed and not worry about other sides.

“As long as we’re winning and getting the support of the fans, we’ll be happy with that.”
