Can you help Team GB Sledgers?

Team GB’s sledge hockey team are about to embark on the Olympic dream as qualifying for the Olympic games starts this coming season. But they will be doing on their own.

Para sport is well in the public mind set since the London games in 2012. Jonnie Peacock is now a well known public figure and no longer mistaken for someone who used to play in the second row for Leeds Rhinos. And it isn’t just athletics, Wheelchair rugby has been on free to air television and paracycling as become as mainstream in the winter as other track cycling.

Despite this and the funding that many athletes and sports receive the GB Sledge Hockey team and the sport receives non of it. That leaves the players having to support themselves at every stage. The Olympics is the pinnacle of the sport and to qualify for the Beijing games in 2022 would be the a remarkable achievement that would further advance a disability team sport beyond others.

To support the team in their goal you can donate via their crowdfunding page
