Clan forward Brendan Brooks says Sunday’s 7-3 win at Dundee Stars was ‘much needed’ after they finally broke their duck in 2018.
The Glasgow side hadn’t won since New Year’s Eve when they beat Omar Pacha’s men to end 2017 in positive fashion.
Brooks, who scored twice in the game, was pleased his team didn’t flounder as the Stars scored twice to get to within a goal of them in the third period.
“That win has lifted us a lot and it t was a huge one for us that was much needed,” he said. “After Saturday’s loss to Manchester, it was tough to take and we had a bit of a gut check.
“When Dundee got it back to 3-2, we could have easily folded, but we responded as a team, stayed composed and kept playing our game, instead of letting them get on to us.
“Now we have to find a way to be consistent and look to ourselves individually to find what’s required to make us successful.
“If we do that, everybody contributes with what they need to do and we would get more wins and that will be the difference going forward.
“The possibility is there for us to do it. We just have to find a way to make it happen.”
