British defenceman Jamie Chilcott has penned a deal with Manchester Storm for 2015-16.

The Hull-born 22-year-old has represented both Great Britain Under-20s and Under-18s – and was named as GB’s best player in the U18 World Championship (Division 1A) in 2011.

Chilcott spent the last two seasons with Hull Stingrays after four years in playing in North America, including a spell with the Ontario Hockey Academy U18s.

Storm player-coach, Omar Pacha, said: “We are delighted Jamie has committed to Manchesester Storm for the coming season.

“Jamie is a good skater that sees the ice very well. He always makes a good first pass, plays a smart game and takes up very good ice position.

“During the last two years, he improved dramatically and will be counted on to step it up one more notch this year.

“He is also a defenceman that can log very important minutes.”
