Braehead Clan 3 Dundee Stars 1

Braehead Clan former captain Matt Keith was given a night to remember when his old team secured two big points in a 3-1 win over play-off rivals Dundee Stars.

Keith was in attendance to receive his Wall of Fame banner and would have been pleased to see his former team in safe hands.
The Stars had been the form team in the league with nine wins in their last 11 and had the lead in the first period to give them a decent start.
Cody Carlson’s shot for Dundee was initially saved by Clan goalie Ryan Nie, only for Gabriel Levesque to tuck away the rebound.
The lead didn’t last for long as Braehead returned the favour with a goal on the powerplay, courtesy of a powerful one-timer from Landon Oslanski.
The home side put themselves ahead in the second period when Ryan Potulny’s effort on Stars goalie Travis Fullerton caused havoc around the Dundee crease.
Fullerton did enough to move the initial shot on, but Brendan Brooks was there to stick away the rebound and put the Clan in front.
They increased that lead to two, with another Oslanski snipe responsible, but on this occasion, Jacob Doty got the final touch.
Tyler Scofield went closest in the third to finishing the job off, but Dundee held out to keep the score at 3-1 and give Clan a big advantage going to Tayside on Sunday.
