Blueliner Games of the Day

The action tonight concentrates on the Elite League with all 10 teams in action. There are a further 4 games in the Premier League whilst the National Leagues offer up just a handful but nonetheless all important games.

Elite League

The Gardner Conference is incredibly tight at the moment and with all 5 teams in that conference also fighting for a playoff place our pick of the EIHL action tonight comes from Murrayfield where the Edinburgh Capitals face the Dundee Stars. The Capitals picked up all 4 points over the international break to lift themselves into a playoff position. Dundee meanwhile have only picked up 2 points out of 6 last week. That win coming in the shootout following a 7 all tie with Hull on Sunday evening. With a win Dundee could move top of the conference whilst an Edinburgh win will see the Capitals push the Stars out of the playoffs.

English Premier League

With a tight title race on going down the stretch both Basingstoke and Guildford find themselves facing tricky opposition. Watch out for Guildford hosting the somewhat erratic Bracknell Bees whilst the topping Basingstoke travel to Slough. A win for the Flames and a loss for the Bison would see the Flames take over top spot and still have 2 games in hand.

National League

There is somewhat a lack of games across the national leagues. However one to watch will be the Trafford Metros who host the Telford Titans in Altrincham. Trafford are routed to the bottom of NIHL1 North but the Titans are not out of trouble either. Both teams will want the win and a loss now could prove costly come April.

In NIHL1 South the action is at the top of table as  Romford travel to Bracknell looking to close down the 4 point gap to the top of the table Wightlink.
