Clan defenceman Christoffer Bjorklund is looking to get the Clan’s playoff push back on track this Saturday against his former club.
The Sheffield Steelers come to Braehead Arena on Saturday (7:00pm face-off) in another highly important EIHL game, with a three way battle currently going on for the final playoff spot.
The Clan are currently in 8th, tied on point with 9th placed Coventry Blaze, with 10th placed Dundee Stars now only 3 points behind.
Following last weekend’s disappointing home loss to Dundee and games coming thick and fast, the Clan are looking to get back to winning ways against Sheffield.
“Last Saturday against Dundee was a very disappointing result for this club, it was a very big game and one we had been working all week for” said the Swedish defenceman.
“We now need to move on from that and have total focus on our game this Saturday against a good Sheffield Steelers team.
“They had a big victory last weekend against Fife, so will be heading up here full of confidence and looking to move back into the top four.
“However, with Coventry and Dundee right behind us in the league placings, we really need the points and it’s up to us to do that.”
