BIH Round-Up: NIHL South 21st & 22nd November

BRITISH ICE HOCKEY – NIHL SOUTH (W/E 22ND NOVEMBER)

Chelmsford Chieftains still lead NIHL1 South after securing a three-point weekend.

Juraj Huska (5) led the way for Chieftains in their 7-3 win at MK Thunder and they looked set to follow up after racing into a 3-1 lead at home to Invicta Dynamos.

The visitors had other ideas as goals from Josh Condren and Steve Osman saw the game finish 3-3 to send both teams home with a point. The result also sealed a three-point haul for Dynamos who won 6-1 at home to Cardiff Devils NIHL – Osman (2) topped their scoring.

Wightlink Raiders are up to second in the table after picking up a pair of road wins. Craig Tribe’s second of the night sealed a 4-3 victory at London Raiders, while Ryan Webb’s double secured a 2-1 success at Oxford City Stars.

Mason Wild, Steve Gosset, Richard Brown and Alex Murray were all on target for Solent Devils in their 4-1 win at Bracknell Hornets, but they couldn’t follow up on home ice as London proved too strong with a 3-1 victory.

Harrison Goode (2) and Tom Mboya (2) led the scoring for MK Thunder as they came from behind to win 8-5 at Cardiff Devils NIHL.

Chelmsford Warriors maintained their unbeaten record in NIHL2S after a 4-3 win at Haringey Racers – Stephen Woodford (2) and Jake Sylvester (2) got their goals.

Conor Pollard, James White and Nathan Pollard all hit hat-tricks for Peterborough Islanders as they routed Slough Jets 13-2 at the Hangar.

Lee Valley Lions picked up their second win of the campaign with a 6-2 success at Invicta Mustangs – Chris Fox scored four.

Ryan Sutton bagged a brace for Basingstoke Buffalo as they cruised to a 6-0 win at Bristol Pitbulls. Shannon Taylor (3) topped the scoring for Swindon Wildcats NIHL in their 13-6 victory at home to Wightlink Tigers.
