Big Crowd Expected This Saturday

The Stena Line Belfast Giants are set to return to home ice on Saturday Night against the Edinburgh Capitals in front of the biggest crowd of the season so far.

The Giants have been on the road for the past 4 weekends and Saturday Night will be the first home game since November 3rd.

“It has been a long time away from home and it’s going to be nice to get back in front of our fans in the Odyssey Arena,” said forward Craig Peacock who is coming off a 2 goal performance in a losing effort against the Nottingham Panthers, “we’ve had a great run on the road taking 12 out of 16 possible points over the last four weeks but it will be nice to be at home for a while.”

The Giants remain in first place in the Elite League and have looked impressive over the month of November. They welcome the Edinburgh Capitals, one of two teams to claim wins over them during their run of away games. The Caps are sitting near the bottom of the league but they are currently

“We can’t afford to take the Caps lightly,” said Peacock, “maybe we did that last time, but we will be focused on the task at hand come Saturday.”
