Belfast Giants Play For Place In European Final Tonight

Saturday night at The SSE Arena sees the Stena Line Belfast Giants play for a spot in the International Ice-Hockey Federation Continental Cup Superfinal. A win for the Giants against GKS Katowice would secure top place in their Semi-Final group following wins over Medvescak Zagreb and Ritten Sport.

Belfast setup the crunch clash against the Polish side thanks to Friday’s 6-2 win over Italy’s Ritten Sport as well as a 4-0 victory over Medvescak Zagreb of Croatia on Thursday.

GKS Katowice need to defeat the Giants to stand any chance of progressing to the Final after a win and a loss against Ritten and Medvescak respectively. If the Giants did lose, it is still possible they can advance to the Final depending on the result of Saturday’s earlier game –  Ritten vs Medvescak, face-off 3pm at The SSE Arena.

Tickets are still on-sale for Saturday’s big game and will be on-sale all day from The SSE Arena Box office in person, by calling 028 9073 9074 or online at

Remember – your ticket also gives you access to Saturday’s early game, the 3pm face-off of Ritten Sport (Italy) vs Medvescak Zagreb (Croatia).

Game Over | The Stena Line Belfast Giants defeat Ritten Sport & are one win away from a place in the IIHF Continental Cup Final💪

Final: Giants 6-2 Ritten Sport

Next: vs GKS Katowice🇵🇱
