FLAMES FINISH 3RD IN PLAYOFFS WITH WIN OVER DUNDEE STARS

In the playoff 3rd-4th place game Sunday afternoon, Flames lost the handle on a 2-goal 3rd period lead to fall into deficit, but replied with 3, including a late empty netter, in the final 6 minutes to secure a 7-5 win over Dundee Stars to close out the season for the respective sides.

FLAMES SCORE LATE TO CLINCH A BERTH IN FINAL 4 WEEKEND

Flames led for less than 3 minutes across the entire 2 leg playoff quarter final, including the leg 1 4-4 draw, but it was the only lead they would need, coming from behind in the 3rd period of leg 2 for a 3-2 win, 7-6 on aggregate, over Nottingham Panthers to book a spot in the playoff final 4 next weekend. 

Tigers’ Victory Wins Playoff Group

Telford Tigers played their final group stage game of the National League Playoffs with their place in the Final Four already secured courtesy of a victory over Leeds Knights on Friday.

FLAMES WIN GIVES TOP HALF TABLE FINISH 

A 3-goal burst in the opening 7 minutes set Flames to a lead they would not let go the rest of the way during a 4-2 win over Manchester Storm to secure 5th place in the league table and set up a Playoff quarter final encounter next weekend against Nottingham Panthers.

Penalty Woes Lead to Defeat for Tigers

Telford Tigers travelled to Milton Keynes for their third game in the National League playoffs after starting the group stage of the competition with back to back wins over Bees. With Milton Keynes having completed a double victory over Leeds Knights, the game saw both teams enter with a 100% record.

Telford Tigers opened their playoff campaign with a 6-1 victory over Bees and returned to home ice to try to make it a double victory over their visitors from Slough. Tigers’ recent form had been exceptional coming into the game with six straight victories.
