Glasgow Clan are delighted to confirm that the Purple Army have voted to select this season’s Wall of Fame banner as #15 Ash Goldie who played for the club between 2012 and 2014.
The native of London, Ontario, in Canada, joined the Clan in 2012 from the ECHL’s Las Vegas Wranglers, and went on to play two season’s at Braehead Arena.
38-year-old Goldie played in over 100 games for the Clan, captaining Ryan Finnerty’s team to our first ever EIHL Playoff Finals weekend appearance back in 2014.
Clan Chief Operating Officer Gareth Chalmers commented: “All three of this season’s Warrior Wall of Fame nominees are all worthy inductees and deserve to be on the wall.
“We’d like to thank Ash Goldie, Chris Frank and Jordan Krestanovich for their patience during the voting process.
“Ash was already at the club when I arrived in 2013 and was certainly one of our marque players during his two season’s at Braehead Arena.
“The fact that Ash captained the very first Clan team to a playoff finals weekend, makes this even more fitting. He joins some very prestigious Clan names already up on the wall.
“We are excited and looking forward to welcoming Ash and his family over to Glasgow this weekend.”
