Adey Pleased With 4-1 Win Against Panthers In Belfast

Stena Line Belfast Giants Head Coach Paul Adey was pleased with the team’s 4-1 win against the Nottingham Panthers on Wednesday at the Odyssey Arena. The win leaves the Giants leading the Elite League by 25 points and 28 points clear of the Nottingham Panthers and will give the League champions confidence ahead of next Friday’s Challenge Cup Final 1st Leg at home to the same opposition,

“It’s always nice to win at home,” said Adey. “The key thing for us was to get the result and keep the momentum going. It’s good for our confidence any time we beat them. Next Friday is going to be a good hard game and I’m sure we’ll get great support.”

“The guys have been great and they’ve been so consistent and our road record helps explain why we won the league. Credit to the players, it takes a lot of focus, character and determination and that’s why we’re the League champions.”
