Abercrombie signs on for another season

The BCD Solway Sharks would like to welcome back talented young forward Daniel Abercrombie. Daniel returns for his second full season after joining full time from North Ayr and will be looking to continue his goal scoring form of last season.

Daniel scored twenty goals in last years treble winning team and caused opposition teams problems with his skill and speed and he will be looking to keep improving. He also represented Scotland at U19 level and is currently in the GB U20 selection process.

Daniel had the following to say on his return “I am happy to be back for the season ahead and I am excited by the new teams coming into our league. Last year was a great year for me personally as well as the team and I want to help the team pick up where we left off. We know the league will be tough but that is why we all play the game and I’m looking forward to getting started”.
Head coach Martin Grubb commented “I am delighted that Dan has returned for another season as he is a young player who did a great job for us last year and he will continue to improve.”

“He is quick and has bags of skill and he always looks to find a way to the net and that is something that I like about him. Last year he scored twenty goals and I know he will only get better and I think he can better that tally even with the league getting better and I look forward to helping him continue to develop”.

Daniel will wear #7 again this season and will be back on the ice with the team in the weeks ahead.
