3 more return for Fire

Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the return of 3 of last seasons players. Forward Elliott Murdoch, Forward Lewis Stevens and Defenceman Iwan Davies all return for their 2nd seasons with the Fire.

Elliott Murdoch is a quick energetic forward that experienced both NIHL 2 and Division 1 last season. After impressing in the Fire 2 team Elliott was called up 7 times in the 2nd tier scoring one goal. At Division 2 level Elliott also had a great season scoring a point a game. Elliott plays the game with an edge picking up 144 penalty mins in 16 games.

Like Elliott Lewis Stevens is also young, quick and very energetic. Lewis joined the Fire last season after taking a year off from hockey and went from strength to strength throughout the season. In pre-season he has looked sharp and ready to get going. Lewis has played all his career in Cardiff most recently for the U18 and 20’s before joining Cardiff Fire. Lewis is another player that plays with an edge having amassed a whopping 592 pims in just 64 games.

Also returning to the Fire is young 19 year old defencman Iwan Davies. Iwan, also Cardiff trained, has been a key figure within the Cardiff juniors and scored an impressive 29 points, including 14 goals in his last season of under 18 hockey as a defenceman. Iwan has a great point shot and we’ll be hoping he can keep adding more goals to his game this season. Iwan is back for his 2nd season having enjoyed his first season in senior hockey last term, scoring 2 goals with 4 assists. Iwan is also a dedicated coach at various levels and is now level two qualified.

Welcome back to the Fire Family Elliott, Lewis and Iwan!!
